Since its discovery in 2018, MKPV (Mouse Kidney Parvovirus, aka MuCPV) has generated discussions in the biomedical research community about the infection in laboratory mice, approaches to disease containment, and possible complications on research conducted using mouse models or reagents contaminated with this divergent Parvovirus.
